Love Peter Rabbit! Very nice simplified version, me and my baby enjoyed it。
Sarah Parker,
This is a really cute short story by one of the most beloved children’s authors, I think the world has seen。 So many children grew up on the stories of Beatrix Potter (myself included) that they’re a part of your consciousness whether you realise it or not。 The story of Peter Rabbit, who disobeys his mother and runs into Farmer McGregor is one that I think is permanently burned into the public mind。 And it definitely is a cute story for young readers。 It’s also interesting to know that this is t This is a really cute short story by one of the most beloved children’s authors, I think the world has seen。 So many children grew up on the stories of Beatrix Potter (myself included) that they’re a part of your consciousness whether you realise it or not。 The story of Peter Rabbit, who disobeys his mother and runs into Farmer McGregor is one that I think is permanently burned into the public mind。 And it definitely is a cute story for young readers。 It’s also interesting to know that this is the first story that Potter wrote in this vein, it’s quite sophisticated for a first story。 。。。more

Teri S,
In my earlier years I remember reading this book。 I thought 'poor rabbit' now I just shook my head and laughed at his antics。 I do wonder, what would have happened if he was caught? Picked this up at a Beatrix Potter attraction in the Lake District, and it was an absolutely gorgeous read- can't believe I’ve never read it before! Therese Thompson,
…。。I had to get the traditional tale of Peter Rabbit’s misadventures in Mr。 McGregor’s garden for Parker’s first Easter。 Beatrix Potter’s illustrations are as lovely as ever and her story is very nicely condensed for board book format。 Plus, a small stuffed Peter replica was on offer for 5。00 more。 Bonus!!This will be perfect to start to the Easter holiday reading tradition ❤️…。…。

This was a fun little Easter read。 Coming back to this book as an adult really brought on the nostalgia。

Have you ever noticed that, in kids' books featuring anthropomorphised animals, the boys are usually only wearing shirts while the girls are almost always in full outfits? I could understand if everyone were to be in trousers, but typically it's pantsless for the fellas and skirts (or sometimes trousers as well) for the ladies。 Of course, no one has any genitals, so it's not even a matter of prudishness。 What a curious mystery。 Have you ever noticed that, in kids' books featuring anthropomorphised animals, the boys are usually only wearing shirts while the girls are almost always in full outfits? What is the moral of the story? Be good, listen to your mom and do as you are told, don't go exploring, don't be different or you won't get milk and berries。It was good story with attractive illustrations, though the end didn't make any sense to me。 What is the moral of the story? Karina,
"Now my dears," said old Mrs。 Rabbit one morning, "you may go into the fields or down the lane, but don't go into Mr。 McGregor's garden: your Father had an accident there: he was put in a pie by Mrs。 McGregor。Now run along, and don't get into mischief。 I am going out。" (PG。 5)So I have never read this classic until last night to my five-year-old。 I've seen the current movie and liked that。It was so simple and mischievous! Of course, there's always that one kid that isn't the good listener and does the opposite, as is Peter Rabbit。 Not even his Father being eaten into a pie could dissuade him into going to that garden。 Peter almost gets caught twice, loses his shoes and jacket and manages to get tummy sick。 By the time he makes it home Mrs。 Rabbit puts him to bed without supper and makes him drink the dreaded chamomile tea。The illustrations are old school and so cute。 I love that the Rabbit family all wear clothes and Mrs。 Rabbit is just a darling, caring mama。 The author put in some long imaginative words in the book。 It's nice to see an author not dumbing down a story for littles。 Moral of the story? Mommy is always right because if you do something stupid something stupid might happen to you。 Make better choices! (Said his Father before being put into a pie。) 。。。more

Dawn,
I got this book for free on Gutenberg。 I loved this story as a child。 A great tale for Easter。 Sometimes we learn the hard way。。。by not listening and doing the deed。。。get sick, tired, and scared。。。and decide to follow advice or common sense the next time!
Ann,
Watched the reading by Rose Byrne via Storyline Online。 Lovely moving illustrations and the music perfectly matched the suspense。
